The controls themselves are simple though - you just tap on a gem to select it then tap on an adjacent one to swap them around.
In terms of the behaviors of all the power-ups and how to solve the levels, it's something you'll pick up as you go along (a clue: get the red star down to the bottom of the pile to complete a level).
